Hope you enjoyed the kitchen tour last week, and this week, Kelly is hosting the show-me-where-you-live, Living Room Edition! I had a great time looking at all of the kitchens last week, and decided to join in the fun again this week.
We closed on and moved into our house when I was 36 weeks pregnant with Riley Cate (yes, you read that right!)... We just celebrated a year here, and I hope to be able to decorate the living room more in the upcoming year... (after move in, the kids rooms were the highest priority) I still have lots of blank space to work with in the living room.
We LOVE the hardwood floors. Love them! Even with all the Lightning McQueen scratches, they are developing character (this is my way of not obsessing about toys scratching the wood floors!). We also love the fireplace and mantle and all the thick molding surrounding.

One upcoming plan to add is an idea from the kitchen tour last week! I saw someone who matted and framed their small child's artwork, and I bought the supplies today for Ryan's masterpiece.. and I plan to frame it in a frame that coordinates with my 4 black framed photos. Thanks for looking, and I am planning to participate again next week (room to be announced!).

Your fire place is gorgeous. I love the hardwoods as well. I have plenty of scratches in my hardwoods and I choose to see it as adding character as well. Its less stressful that way.

Very pretty! I love those pictures on the wall. It looks very classy and elegant. My husband and I were just discussing getting large canvases done of family pictures. I think it is so dramatic. I'd love to have three 48"x48" on a wall next to each other.
